Scott Ripkey started Fontana Partners with the idea that being a manufacturer’s rep needed to be a more comprehensive service.
A deep knowledge of the materials, processes and technology being offered needs to be combined with wide ranging business acumen to be able to attract and keep sophisticated customers. Focusing on just sales is not a long-term approach. Success in this business means being viewed as a valued member of product development and reliable supplier.
The solution lies in adopting a comprehensive approach—a spectrum of Manufacturing Partners fostering an environment of Consultation and Collaboration. Embracing involvement in the development process, problem-solving, testing, and discovery became paramount.
By the end of development, when the purchase order is created, the customer clearly knows where to direct their business.
In 2003, Scott founded Fontana Partners after a 15-year career steering sales and sales forces for national and global plastic molding companies. The bedrock of Fontana Partners was laid through years of collecting, nurturing, and growing customer relationships.
Fontana Partners aims to understand the needs of OEM customers and incorporate those requirements into the operations of the companies it represents.
Fontana Partners continues to expand its knowledge and presence in order to meet its responsibilities.
